When Anna is asked what she likes to photograph most, she answers invariably, “I try as hard as I can not to play favorites.”

Her goal is to explore without expectation or limits. She engages with and reacts to her environment. She loses herself in experiencing the moment, completely open to its rhythm. All while she captures and conveys images she hopes will connect viewers to the soothing, healing experience of each discovery.

What exactly calls to a private client, calms patients and family and staff in a healthcare space, catches the attention of a gallery visitor, connects with interior designers, or fulfills the needs of licensing, publishing or other commercial partners is beyond her control.

She focuses on offering her very best to each opportunity and relationship, trusting that a connection will come, a need will be filled, and an image will find its way to whomever it’s intended touch.

Anna is an award-winning, fine art nature photographer and best-selling novelist who lives in Clarkesville, Georgia.

Her visual stories evolve from the same passion as her writing—to uplift and encourage. Her vision for creating healing art is inspired by the North Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee mountains she loves.

She often works in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where she collects the images she uses to illustrate books for children.

Having grown up in South Georgia, she also invests time capturing landscapes and wildlife that make the Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina coastlines some of her favorite haunts.

Her Affirmation Photography™ is placed regularly in private collections and healing spaces, including the Emory Healthcare system in Atlanta: in Emory’s women’s, cardiac, imaging, and cancer centers.

Most recently she’s partnered with the Northeast Georgia Medical system to place healing landscapes into their latest Gainesville, GA, location.

Her “HeART Open” donation program in cooperation with non-profit partners installs healing art solutions free-of-charge, filling community spaces with the same calming, affirmational pieces purchased by traditional clients.

Anna has been juried into and featured in exhibits throughout Atlanta, including at the Callanwolde Fine Art Center, the Hudgens Center for Art and Learning, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Fernbank Nature Center.

Her fine art prints and one-of-a-kind commissions are represented by Northeast Georgia and North Carolina galleries, retail spaces, cultural centers and interior designers.

If you find a moment of light in Anna’s visual and written stories, she is honored.

She’s forever grateful if you discover yourself breathing easier, opening your heart wider, and understanding with more clarity that there remains simple goodness and light
in this world we travel.
